GCU London

HISTORY

GCU London is a postgraduate campus of Glasgow Caledonian University specialising in Banking and Finance, Risk Management, International Fashion Marketing, Luxury Brand Marketing, Public Health and Construction Management.

Based in Spitalfields, the centre offers a range of MBA and MSc courses. GCU is reportedly the first Scottish university to open a base in London.

The campus opened in September 2010.

COURSES

GCU is a Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Centre of Excellence and GCU London finance students can obtain Chartered Banker status. GCU London also offers the UK’s first MBA in Luxury Brand Marketing. Other Subject areas available at GCU London include:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

They accept a wide range of international qualifications as suitable entry requirements for their Master’s Degrees which are equivalent to a UK 2:2 honours degree at GCU London. They will consider qualifications that are not listed on an individual basis.

Before the student apply it should check the entry requirements for the chosen degree against the qualifications achieved in their country on the university`s  website.

ACADEMIC STRENGTHS

The School has built strong links with industry over the years and many of these companies are world leaders in their field. Students benefit from its on campus Marks and Spencer’s studio as well as Masterclasses from leading industry academics such as Imran Amed (CEO of The Business of Fashion).

TEACHING STANDARDS

As home to the British School of Fashion, a unique mix of programmes are offered, including the world’s first MSc Digital Fashion Strategy, which have been developed to meet the specific needs of the fashion industry, in a fast-changing and challenging consumer market.
