Course details
The International Foundation in Journalism prepares international students for direct entry to year one of the Journalism Undergraduate degree course within the School of Social Sciences, City University London. By combining academic study, intensive English language preparation, study skills and cultural orientation, the International Foundation program prepares students with the academic, English language and study skills that are needed for university success. Students will study compulsory modules including Academic English, Foundation Mathematics and Study Skills.
These modules introduce students to the academic conventions used within UK universities; all the key mathematical concepts needed to study the first year of an Undergraduate degree program, and allows students to develop study skills that are essential to degree study, including time management and critical thinking.

Entry requirements
A LEVEL: Must include passes at A2 in at least 1 subject
BTEC: Extended Diploma (QCF) or Diploma (QCF)
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE: Diploma with 24 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level
We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and maths (See below for accepted equivalences)
