Founded in 1875, the Edinburgh School of Cookery was created to improve women’s education and career opportunities and to improve the diets of the urban poor.
Queen Mary’s roots lie in four historic colleges: Queen Mary College, Westfield College, St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College and the London Hospital Medical College.
Founded in 1845 as Queen’s College Belfast, one of three Queen’s Colleges in Ireland. Became an independent university in 1908, and is the 9th oldest university in the UK.
