HISTORY

Ashridge Business School was originally established in 1929 as a ‘College of Citizenship’. It is based at Ashridge House in rural Hertfordshire in the south of England, about 40km from London where teaching also takes place. Ashridge is a specialist business school offering full and part-time MBAs, Masters in Management and a range of specialist masters degrees.

Students are taught by business professionals and consultants with significant experience of the industry. Ashridge Business School has strong corporate links, flexible start times and course structures. The School offers consulting to a number of companies such as Nokia and Fujifilm and is part of just one per cent of business schools worldwide which are accredited by UK, European and US MBA accrediting bodies.

COURSES

Ashridge employs approximately 95 full-time faculty and has a further 100 associate faculty members. Ashridge faculty are not traditional academics – together with significant academic qualifications, the majority have extensive international business experience, enabling them to become fully involved with the issues and challenges faced by clients and individual participants. Faculty regularly serve on the councils of international educational and advisory bodies, including the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and Association of MBAs (AMBA). They also share their expertise as visiting professors at many international business schools and universities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The application process involves:

  • Submission of a completed application form or online application;
  • Providing details of two referees;
  • A face-to-face interview at Ashridge or a Skype interview if face-to-face is not possible.

ACADEMIC STRENGTHS

Ashridge Business School is accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, meaning it is in the top one per cent of the 7,000 business schools worldwide accredited by all three.

The Financial Times ranks Ashridge Business School 23rd in its combined rankings, while custom rankings are 3rd in the UK, 10th in Europe and 16th globally. Open programmes are 5th in the UK, 14th in Europe and 33rd globally.
