Course details
By doing this course you will have the opportunity to develop your language skills to a very high level as well as studied a range of cultural and historical contexts. You will also have the chance to undertake an exciting placement in Spain and or Latin America, to gain invaluable employment skills and knowledge of current affairs. You will spend the year abroad in a country where Spanish is spoken, either as an English language assistant, studying on a university course or on an approved work placement.

Entry requirements
- GCE A-level AAB including Grade A in Spanish
- International Baccalaureate 34 points with 17 at higher level, including 6 at higher level in Spanish
Career posibilities
Teaching, translation and interpretation are careers that directly use your language skills, but you will also find opportunities in many other fields. Any organisation that works globally will require people with excellent foreign language skills.
