Course details

This course prepares students who want to work for the benefit of children. Following this course will allow you to develop an understanding of children’s education, social influences, health, play, leisure and social rights issues. You will also examine current social and political questions and debates on childhoods in the UK and internationally.

  • Major Independent Study 

Entry requirements

  • A-level: ABB
  • GCSE: grade C or above in English Language

Career posibilities

This course offers the possibility to reach careers such as teaching, educational work in museums, educational psychology, youth and community work, play therapy, social work, speech therapy, nursing, child and family law, and working in children’s organisations such as UNICEF, The Children’s Society or Save the Children.
